Kelmore Feather
Kelmore’s Feather is an ultra-rapid drying, highly polymer modified, patching and smoothing compound designed to smooth floors prior to installing resilient floor coverings. Able to be applied from a feather edge up to 3mm thick and ensuring excellent adhesion, Kelmore Feather can be used to smooth out any surface imperfections on cement:sand screeds, concrete, levelling and smoothing compounds, and calcium sulphate screeds. Possessing exceptional flexibility, Kelmore Feather seamlessly fills and smooths board joints and fixing points in plywood. Providing an extremely smooth surface finish, this ultra-rapid drying product allows floor coverings to be applied after just 15 minutes.

Calcium Sulphate / Anhydrite screed (inc heated) - PrimeMore CS Required - Prime with one neat, undiluted coat of PrimeMore CS. The primer must be allowed to dry before applying kelmore feather.

Coverage will vary dependent on the texture of the background and the application thickness of the product. As a guide, an 11kg bag of Kelmore Feather will provide the following approximate coverage:

Backgrounds must be sufficiently dry and strong enough to carry the total weight being applied. All surfaces must be clean, sound and free from contaminants that could inhibit adhesion, such as dust, dirt, oil, grease, laitance, and curing agents.
Mixing
Kelmore Feather should be mixed by volume at a ratio of approximately 3 parts powder to 1 part clean, cold water. The amount of water used in the initial mixing can be adjusted slightly to obtain the optimum consistency for the specific application. Pour the water into a clean bucket before gradually adding the powder. Mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved.
Application
Kelmore Feather can be used from a feather edge up to 3mm thick. Apply the mixed product to the floor before using a steel trowel to smooth and fill the background.
